]]> 24 <![CDATA[KOOKIE ALERT!! KOOKIE ALERT!!]]> UPDATE!!! We will be revitalizing our website soon as well as yummy kookie choices. Before we do, we wanted to make a minor changed known. The mixed box of kookies is the most popular, but we have changed the choices. Oatmeal Rasin is no longer a part of the mix. Instead we added the Monster Doodle, a great twist of the snicker doodle. The delicious soft and chewy kookie is topped with brown sugar, white sugar and cinnimon. Don't worry. Be Happy about it.

]]> 20 <![CDATA[Fabulous Cakes~Sweet Gems]]> Grace Chyun of Sweet Gems, also a good friend of Harry and myself, was asked to create an over the top master piece cake for TLC's show Fabulous Cakes.  When Grace was thinking of a theme, Baby Monster Kookies and our Wedding Engagement popped into her head! The show films Grace with blood, sweat and tears poured into this cake, then the big reveal at our engagement party.  We were honored to be a part of this show. BMK goes Italian!! We felt around the holidays even the scrooges of the season enjoy an Italian Wedding Cake kookie or Chocolate Thumbprint. Our R and D team worked hard to perfect these recipes, pictures are on the website.

]]> 18 <![CDATA[Dream Board]]> Oprah has many key motivational tips on her sight that help remove the veil of dispair and hopelessness from our eyes and hearts.  We lose sight of what is truly important to us and visuals are needed to remind us. A great way to do that is to create a Dream Board.  This is a collage of pictures, words, quotes that motivate, inspire or simply make us smile.  You can do it on her website or make one of your own using poster board and cut-outs.  Put the dream board somewhere that will always be visable.  Let us know your feedback. BMK EYES WIDE OPEN...]]> Gluten has become a world wide awarness for health conscience people, especially parents.  We are now aware of certain symptoms that can be associated with gluten/wheat allergies; stomach cramps, headaches, fatigue and most shocking, mood swings.  This especially holds true for parents who feel their kids simply are bratty! NO! They may have an allergy. We are not diagnosing an illness here but simply bringing awareness, all precautions should be brought to your healthcare professional.

 

Well on that note, BMK recognizes that gluten is a huge part in baking and can be challenging to create a tasty treat.  While we are not trying to be the best gluten free bakery in town, we want to show our sensitivity to those who still want to enjoy a great dessert.  BMK will do its best to work hard on developing just that, a gluten free, simply delicious kookie!! ]]> 16 <![CDATA[A Child Shares Their Love for BMK]]> A mother bought kookies for her daughter's birthday.  She asked for me to gift them in our cute box with ribbon so her daughter could open it like a present.  Well later after the birthday party the mother emailed me and said all her daughter kept asking was when can she open the kookies.  Then when she did, she couldn't put them down!!

 

This is the whole point of BMK, to inspire kids, to make them smile.  I just had to share this beautiful story.

]]> 11 <![CDATA[Community~YWCA]]> Baby Monster Kookies is donating to the the YWCA, Young Womans Christian Association, for an event on Mother's Day weekend.  This group empowers young women who have been fostered until the age of 18yrs old and now need to be out on their own.  Most fosterd women end up on the streets with no hope for a future, this organization helps mentor and mold these young women into educated, ambitious adults; they provide opportunity.  This event on May 8th, 2010 is hosted at Chapman University in the City of Orange.
